HOW DOES BIO SCULPTURE GEL WORK?

Bio Sculpture is applied directly over the natural nail, much like a polish and mimics the natural movements and flexibility of the client’s nails, keeping nails perfectly protected with a non-chip colour finish. There is no drying time with Bio Sculpture as it is cured under a Safety Tested LED lamp. There is minimal buffing to prepare the natural nail and there are no primers, dehydrators or pH balancers needed.

DO YOU DO EXTENSIONS?

I do not do gel extensions, only gel overlays on top of your natural nails.

CAN NAIL ART BE APPLIED?

I do not do nail art but I can apply Glitter, Glitter Flakes and Foil. Bio Sculpture Gel allows for glitter to be embedded into the gel, therefore lasting as long as the gel nails.

WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN BIO SCULPTURE AND OTHER GEL SYSTEMS, ACRYLICS OR HYBRID POLISHES?

Bio Sculpture is a very different product to other gels and hybrid gel polishes, the main difference being that Bio Sculpture will not cause any damage to the natural nails. Most gel systems on the market are acrylic based and cannot be removed without damaging the natural nail. The other difference of our system compared to others on the market is that there is no need for primers or dehydrators in order for the gel to adhere to the natural nail. The new hybrid gel polish formulas are somewhere between nail polish and Bio Sculpture Gel. They last a lot longer than regular nail polish, but not nearly as long-lasting as Bio Sculpture.

HOW LONG DOES A BIO SCULPTURE MANICURE LAST?

Bio Sculpture will last two to three weeks on your nails. Some clients may last longer as they look after and maintain their nails well and others clients who have oily nails or are hard on their nails may only last one to two weeks. It is always best to follow the correct aftercare, no soaking your gels for 24 hours once they have been done for example; swimming or having a bath. It is always best to wear rubber gloves when washing up or using any harsh cleaning products. Please also avoid insect repellent if you are on holiday as this can cause your gels to soften and lift.

CAN BIO SCULPTURE BE APPLIED TO BITTEN NAILS?

Yes, the gel will help the nail to grow healthily and the client will become accustomed to the new length as their nails grow. With the gel on, the temptation to bite or pick will be far less.

WHAT’S INVOLVED IN REMOVING BIO SCULPTURE GEL?

Bio Sculpture Gel is removed within about half an hour. with a specially formulated Soak Off solution designed to remove the Gel, without damaging or dehydrating the natural nail underneath. A small cotton pad soaked in Gel Remover and placed directly over the gel, after filing the shine off the gels, the fingertip is then wrapped in foil. After approximately 10/15 minutes the gel will peel off the nail, leaving a beautiful healthy nail underneath.

CAN I SOAK OFF THE GEL MYSELF?

Yes. When filing the shine off the overlays, you will then need to soak them with acetone. After 10/15 minutes the gel will easily lift up from the nail plate.

WHAT HAPPENS IF A NAIL LIFTS?

This can occur from time to time. If this happens then nail repairs can be carried out. Things that can cause nail lifting are insect repellent, sudocreme, strong hand sanitizers, very oily nails, some medications and using your nails as tools. I would always recommend to remove the gel if it lifts as water can get trapped between the nail plate and the gel and you do not want to risk infection. If you require a nail repair after 72 hours it will cost £5 per nail.

CAN BIO SCULPTURE BE APPLIED TO DAMAGED NAILS?

Yes, that is the beauty of the product. The gel used will be tailored to the clients nail type and condition. With continued use the nails will become stronger and healthier.

CAN YOU SOAK OFF OTHER NAIL SYSTEMS e.g. SHELLAC?

I no longer remove other nail technicians work due to products being mixed and taking a very long time to remove. I only remove overlays done by myself.
